Welcome to the first post of The TomMeeTom Show! We are preparing to host a live blogtv show with inside scoop as well as many of the recorded episodes posted here. Recorded episodes will also be posted on YouTube & MyspaceTV.
Is this cosmic, titanic, self indulgence? Pretty much.
Genesis. In the late 90's I purchased my first computer, that had web cam capabilities and at that time using Yahoo Messenger you could broadcast to other users. It was kinda cool. Most people were still using a dial-up Internet connection, so the audio was frequently non-existent and the video was like still- life/stop action.
I started a program I called the TomMeeTom show back in those days, with a talk show format, which included interviews with some local characters, as well as other entertaining items. The show was hysterical. I still have some of those old episodes stored on the hard drive of that ancient computer and I may post a few on this blog from time to time.
The new & improved TomMeeTom show is going to have lots of improvements like a live house band, much like the Tonight Show, or Conan O'Brien. I have been writing for the show, and I have four episodes sketched out, with plenty of material for many, many more!
Over the next week or two, we will be testing out our equipment, as well as connections so hopefully the "real" broadcast should be starting very soon!
